Boorowa Shire

Boorowa Shire is one of the many inland Local Government Areas in the Australian Capital Region.

Located on the edge of the south western slopes region of New South Wales, the shire occupies an area of about 257,860 hectares. As a result of extensive clearing for a rich and productive agricultural industry, little remains of the damp schlerophyll forests and woodlands that once dominated the landscape.

As of June 2004, some 2476 people lived in Boorowa Shire. Read more >
