Cootamundra Shire

  • State of the Environment reports for each year from 1996 to 2003 are available directly from Cootamundra Council.

Cootamundra Shire covers an area of approximately 152,360 hectares on the south-western slopes region of southern NSW.

Because the shire is at the transition point from the western plains to the Great Dividing Range, the landform, soils, climate and reliable rainfall combine to make Cootamundra one of the most productive agricultural areas in New South Wales.

As of June 2004, some 7596 people lived in Cootamundra Shire. Read more >
